Orton Bradley Park is an ideal place to base your Outdoor Education programme!  Orton Bradley Park is a stunning location that is close enough to Christchurch to be a great day trip, or far enough away for a wilderness feel on an overnight stay.

Orton Bradley Park allows for creativity and independence with your programme with a wide range of educational, recreational and adventure activities that are ideal for school groups.  

Orton Bradley Park has the environment and facilities for a cost effective classic kiwi school camp.  Our range of activities are ideal for engaging small or large groups of young people. 

Activities available include:

·         High and low ropes course
·         MTB track
·         Abseiling and/or rock climbing
·         Tramping
·         Kayaking
·         Raft building
·         Coasteering
·         Orienteering
·         Team building exercises and Adventure Based Learning
·         Dam building
·         Adventure racing

The Park also has 3 educational units that you are able to use, free of charge if staying with us, that link with the attractions in the park.  The first is a unit on Technology, focusing on renewable technologies using the reed-bed sewage system, water-wheel, and wind turbine as examples.  The Historical unit has a focus on colonial living while the third outlines how to run a successful Ecological scavenger hunt in the Park. The Orton Bradley Park Board is continually developing the facilities to improve the experience of schools and groups using the Park as a base for their EOTC programmes.
